Job Summary
Director, Environmental Health & Safety responsible for developing and managing EHS programs across US locations; ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local regulations; lead audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety trainings; develop and manage EHS budgets; oversee EHS personnel and external consultants; collaborate with operations, Legal, People & Culture, engineering, and other departments to integrate EHS strategies; base salary range $150,000–$203,000 for California; requires Bachelor's degree and Certified Health & Safety Professional with 15+ years of experience, and willingness to work at Rocket Lab facilities in Long Beach, CA.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in health & safety, Environmental Technology, or similar field
- Certified Health & Safety Professional
- 15+ years’ experience in occupational health and safety in manufacturing, aerospace environment, or construction environment
- Knowledge and practical experience in emergency management and / or occupational health and workplace hygiene
- Occupational health & safety skills to include risk assessment, policy, training, project management, hazardous substances, and safety in manufacturing engineering
