Job Summary
Director, Enterprise Technology Architecture leads governance framework development and adoption, sets strategic direction for technology investments and alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements. The role defines enterprise standards and governance processes spanning integration, security, data management, and system lifecycle; collaborates with IT and business leaders to drive operational efficiency, innovation, and value across clinical, research, finance, supply chain, and operations, supporting healthcare transformation and the planned expansion of an oncology-focused hospital in Boston. The position requires strong leadership of a diverse team of architects, analysts, contractors, and external consultants, budget/Opex management, and ongoing governance performance measurement. It also encompasses vendor management, policy creation, and ensuring compliance with internal requirements and external standards, with emphasis on regulatory alignment and patient-centric digital initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in IT architecture and governance (required)
- 12+ years preferred in IT architecture and governance
- Experience with healthcare organizations such as hospitals, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or innovation-driven organizations (required)
- Experience with regulatory compliance and risk management in IT environments (required)
- Experience architecting and implementing enterprise frameworks that integrate processes, applications, and data (required)
- License/Certification/Registration Required: TOGAF, ITIL, COBIT, AWS or Azure Architect preferred (preferred)
