Job Summary
Director, Enterprise Data Steward – Master Data Governance to lead the global data stewardship and governance function. Own and lead enterprise-wide master data governance within defined data domains (e.g., product, customer, supplier, material), collaborate with global/regional/local data stewards and stakeholders, define and monitor policies, analyze data quality reports and drive corrective actions, support data migrations and system integrations, develop documentation and training materials, and promote continuous improvement of master data processes. Requires strong governance knowledge, ERP/SAP familiarity, data quality experience, and ability to lead distributed teams across a regulated environment. Fluent in English and German; capable of cross-functional influence in a multinational healthcare/pharma context.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional experience in data governance, master data management, or enterprise data stewardship
- 6+ years of experience leading distributed teams and managing senior-level stakeholders in complex, matrixed organizations
- Strong understanding of master data management principles, governance frameworks, and metadata concepts
- Excellent working knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP) and data management tools
- Experience with data quality management, cleansing, and analysis tools is a plus
- Ability to explain complex topics clearly and influence at all levels of the organization
- Fluent in English and German (spoken and written)
- Proactive, solution-focused, and collaborative working style
