Job Summary
Director of Enterprise AI Data leading the team that builds the data foundation for enterprise AI agents, shaping the reference architecture for knowledge graphs, semantic layers, vector retrieval, and trust layers; hiring and growing the data engineering team; partnering with the Director of AI on handoff to agent development; establishing SLOs for data retrieval quality and policy compliance; guiding multi-geo collaboration and performance against a roadmap with VP of AI.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years in data engineering or data platform
- 3+ years managing senior IC engineers
- Architected production knowledge graph OR semantic layer OR RAG retrieval system at enterprise scale
- Hands-on AWS depth: IAM, S3, Glue/EMR, Lambda, Bedrock or equivalent, OpenSearch, KMS
- Built a data trust or governance layer for data without native RBAC: classification, masking, lineage, policy enforcement
- Proven track record managing a distributed US–India team
- Strong written communication; comfortable presenting to executives and customers
