Job Summary
Lead product-focused engineering teams delivering against the Stratus roadmap, integrating AI capabilities into a fabrication workflow that ships to a growing customer base. Own engineering delivery by leading PODs that build solutions addressing real shop floor problems, prioritizing working software and live demos over status decks. Partner with Product, Data, and Customer Success to translate workflow challenges into solutions, while collaborating with leadership on platform architecture across Azure and MongoDB stacks. Establish an engineering culture where AI accelerates the development cycle from design to production deploy, maintaining high standards for CI/CD, code review, and observability. Report to the CTO, working remotely with quarterly leadership meetings and occasional visits to customer shop floors to maintain deep product empathy.
Required Qualifications
- 10 or more years in software engineering
- direct experience building and shipping AI enabled products
- 5 or more in engineering leadership at a SaaS product company
- Has shipped in an environment where the customer base was growing fast enough that a bad release had real consequences
- Has taken on a team, nurtured it to higher impact and done it without losing what was already working
- Has hired at least one person who became exceptional
- Can explain exactly why [a hire] became exceptional
- Ability to work with a distributed team
- Ability to work with cross functional teams
- Must be able to work in the U.S.
Desired Qualifications
- MEP industry experience
- Cloud native SaaS architecture with Azure experience
- MongoDB or document database experience
- Experience with Autodesk or similar
- Exposure to manufacturing, supply chain, or field operations software
- Hands on experience with LangGraph, MCP, or agentic orchestration frameworks
