Job Summary
Director Engineering (m/w/d) at Vishay Siliconix Itzehoe GmbH with overall responsibility for Process & Yield Engineering and New Product / Technology Transfer, including leadership and resource management. Define and execute the engineering strategy aligned with site and corporate objectives; drive strategic advancement of manufacturing technologies (200 mm / 300 mm) to ensure competitiveness; oversee engineering KPIs and continuous process improvement (Lean, SPC, DOE, DfX); lead introduction of new products and technologies with successful technology transfers and ramp-ups; collaborate with R&D to enhance manufacturing processes; ensure quality and compliance (IATF, VDA, ISO) and lead customer audits; manage budget, investments and cost optimization; develop and lead a high-performing engineering organization. Requires advanced degree and 10+ years in semiconductor fabrication, strong process engineering and project leadership, and fluency in English and German.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or related field
- 10+ years of leadership experience in semiconductor wafer fabrication (200 mm and 300 mm)
- Experience in process engineering, yield improvement, and new product introduction
- Strong knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing
- Demonstrated success in leading large engineering teams and managing complex projects
- Excellent communication skills in English and German
