Job Summary
Director of Engineering at Breeze Airways to lead the Engineering department within the Technical Operations team, ensuring regulatory compliance and operational excellence across avionics, structures, systems, fleet reliability, interiors, maintenance programs, and configuration control. Will manage budgets, hire/train staff, develop long-term engineering roadmaps, present to senior leadership, and drive safety, reliability, and cost-efficiency while aligning with Breeze's values.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and/or equivalent working experience
- 20+ years of experience in aircraft engineering
- 15+ years of leadership experience in aircraft engineering
- Expert knowledge of FAA Part 121 regulations, airworthiness directives, and technical reporting for modifications and repairs
- Proven experience overseeing engineering disciplines such as avionics, systems, powerplant, interiors, and maintenance programs
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other technical software tools
- Experience with fleet management systems, reliability analysis, and data analytics
- Background in cost-saving and efficiency initiatives within an airline environment
- Resource planning experience and building KPI’s & Metrics for the team
