Job Summary

Develop and implement policies for receiving and prioritizing maintenance requests while creating preventative maintenance schedules to ensure regular facility inspections. Direct the work of maintenance staff, overseeing hiring, performance management, and termination, and lead departmental training initiatives including active participation in the AIMSAFE committee. Ensure all repairs comply with internal policies and external regulations by maintaining accurate documentation and resolving building challenges while reporting on ownership requirements. Maintain inventory of supplies, schedule property inspections, and manage vendor relationships while approaching all guest and employee encounters in a service-oriented manner. Work unsupervised in stressful situations, utilizing discretion to anticipate and solve workplace problems.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 5 years of experience
  • Some prior management experience
  • Experience in a hotel or a related field
  • Valid driver's license for the applicable state
  • Acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Driving Record)
  • Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
  • Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
  • Ability to work well in stressful high pressure situations
  • Ability to be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems as necessary
  • Ability to assimilate complex information data etc from disparate sources and consider adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need
  • Ability to be effective at listening to understanding and clarifying the issues raised by co-workers and guests
  • Ability to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Extensive experience with the concepts and principles of one or more related fields or departments
  • Must be able to maintain regular attendance in compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel
  • Must maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working (per brand standards)
  • Must comply at all times with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations

Desired Qualifications

  • Licensed in a trade preferred (plumbing electrical HVAC carpentry etc.)
