Job Summary
Develop and implement policies for receiving and prioritizing maintenance requests, while creating schedules for preventative inspections to identify current and potential facility needs. Direct the work of maintenance staff, overseeing hiring, performance management, and termination, and lead initiatives such as AIMSAFE training and departmental goal setting. Resolve building challenges, ensure repairs comply with internal policies and external regulations, and maintain accurate documentation. Schedule property inspections, manage vendor relationships, and track progress using Hyatt and Aimbridge systems. Approach guest and employee encounters with a service-oriented manner while adhering to Aimbridge Hospitality standards for attendance, appearance, and safety.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 5 years of experience
- Some prior management experience
- Experience in a hotel or a related field
- Valid driver's license for the applicable state
- Acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Driving Record)
- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
- Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Ability to work well in stressful high pressure situations
- Ability to be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems as necessary
- Ability to assimilate complex information data etc from disparate sources and consider adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need
- Ability to be effective at listening to understanding and clarifying the issues raised by co-workers and guests
- Ability to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Extensive experience with the concepts and principles of one or more related fields or departments
Desired Qualifications
- Licensed in a trade (plumbing electrical HVAC carpentry etc.)
