Job Summary
Director, Energy Operations and Clean Tech, APAC leads APAC energy procurement, renewable energy initiatives, and utility strategy, translating global energy and sustainability objectives into regional execution, while guiding a senior team across Senior Managers and Managers to optimize terms, governance, and delivery of complex energy transactions and projects. The role requires leadership across energy sourcing, contract negotiations with utilities/developers, financial modeling, and regulatory alignment, with a focus on decarbonization, grid constraints, and stakeholder engagement to support Equinix’s regional energy strategy and sustainability targets.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 12–15+ years of experience in energy procurement, utilities, or sustainability with APAC exposure
- Experience leading regional teams and cross-border initiatives
- Deep expertise in power markets, energy sourcing, renewable energy procurement, and PPAs in APAC
- Strong track record in contract negotiations and supplier partnerships
- Experience in financial modeling, project analysis, energy trading risk management, and commercial evaluation of complex energy transactions
- Knowledge of physical grids, power constraints, utility infrastructure, and interconnection agreements
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and executive-facing communication skills
- Ability to travel internationally across APAC
