Job Summary
Director of Emergency Services leads and directs services, workflow and resources for the assigned nursing area, ensuring compliance with standards of nursing practice; responsibilities include setting departmental goals, directing patient assessment and care planning, staffing and orientation, budgeting, audits, resource management, quality improvement initiatives, professional practice governance, and collaboration with organizational stakeholders to align with strategic plans and improve patient care quality and safety.
Required Qualifications
- Seven (7) years of nursing experience, including five (5) years in leadership, with at least three (3) years in departmental management
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- Master’s degree in Nursing (or in progress)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in Kansas or must be obtained prior to hire
- BLS certification
