Director, East Project Development

Job Summary
Director, East Project Development oversees the development and management of solar and energy storage portfolios across MISO/PJM, coordinating a distributed team and working with landowners, permitting, zoning, environmental, GIS, legal, and engineering teams to move projects from feasibility through construction. Responsibilities include identifying sites, negotiating landowner agreements, engaging stakeholders, managing development activities, coordinating permits and entitlements, directing third-party consultants and partners, developing viable solar/BESS projects, defining scopes of work, and ensuring projects progress on schedule and within budget while monitoring national renewable industry trends and opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required
- 5+ years of project development experience in MISO or PJM
- Permitting expertise preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication, project planning and execution, time management, and problem solving skills
