Job Summary
Oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of a comprehensive education services program for all centers in alignment with Head Start Performance Standards and state/local licensing regulations. Delegate, observe, and evaluate campus staff and support teams regarding compliance and initiatives while providing regular reports to senior leadership. Collaborate with professional organizations to improve educational and disability services for children and families, and conduct internal monitoring activities to develop corrective action plans. Provide technical assistance and training to staff and parents on implementing education services, review curricula and assessment tools, and develop service area action plans. Complete monthly and annual reports, analyze community assessments, and track progress toward School Readiness and Program Goals. Participate in program design, develop orientation materials, and adhere to organizational policies regarding safety, confidentiality, and conduct. Requires flexible hours, occasional travel, and the ability to work with cleaning products.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with 18 Early Childhood Education credits preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Human Development or related field with 18 Early Childhood Education credits
- State Licensing requirements
- Five years' experience working in early childhood education
- Must demonstrate strong written, verbal and computer competencies
- Must possess administrative management and/or specialized skills and knowledge
- Must be able to work with a culturally diverse staff and client base
- Must have current physical exam
- Must have mantoux tuberculosis screening
- Must have clearances
- Must be able to work flexible hours (some evening/week-end hours)
- Must be able to travel (some overnight)
- Must be able to work with cleaning products such as bleach and disinfectants
- Moderate exposure to disease agents
- Includes outdoor work
- Position must frequently bend and lift up to 60 pounds
- Position requires automobile, driver's license and insurance
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual preferred (English/language of majority of families in program)
