Director, Donor Development (Remote in Charleston, SC)

Job Summary
Lead donor development efforts to achieve revenue goals by developing/stewarding donor and prospect relationships, identifying and securing market volunteer leadership, and generating/closing leads for mission investment products in large or medium-size markets. Drive revenue growth through diversified donor portfolios, cultivate corporate partnerships, manage volunteer leadership, and ensure data integrity in CRM, while coordinating market events and stewardship plans. Collaborate with market leadership to recruit and steward volunteer leaders, support staff development, and align activities with March of Dimes’ maternal and child health mission. The role requires senior leadership, donor-facing relationship management, strategic fundraising, and cross-functional collaboration to maximize impact.
Required Qualifications
- Proven success in cultivating and securing major gifts
- Proven success in cultivating and securing corporate partnerships
- Demonstrated ability to work and cultivate relationships across a variety of sectors, communities, and levels to ensure mission alignment and reach
- Proven success in recruiting and retaining high-level volunteer leaders and board members
- Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership/management skills with the ability to motivate staff and lead change
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
