Job Summary
Director, Domestic Operations role overseeing chassis supply and operational efficiency across markets. Responsibilities include guiding Pool Managers and supervisors, cross-department collaboration to implement new business models, setting clear objectives for the Domestic Operations team, liaising with vendors, rail operators, and customers, leading internal and external meetings, driving cost-saving initiatives, coordinating with field Maintenance and Repair to ensure chassis availability, providing annual budget inputs and monthly cost analysis, enforcing DCLI policies, developing managers and staff, and supporting performance appraisal processes. Requires 7-10 years of operations experience in relevant industries with at least 5 years in management, strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment, excellent organizational skills, data and business-analysis capability (Tableau, Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening. The role is hybrid and based in Charlotte, NC.
Required Qualifications
- 7 to 10 years of operations experience in the intermodal, trucking, transportation, or equipment leasing industry, including at least 5 years of management experience
