Job Summary
Director-level owner of digital platform strategy and guided investment initiatives for Scotia iTRADE, accountable for platform performance, client experience, and the end-to-end ladder from self-directed investing into advice and wealth. Leads platform roadmap governance, cross-functional prioritization, stakeholder alignment, and decision-making authority across Digital and Technology teams. Drives the guided investing strategy, customer journeys, usability optimization, and KPI-based measurement of adoption, conversion, and handoffs. Partners with Digital, Technology, Data, Risk, Wealth, and other stakeholders to deliver prioritized outcomes, manage budgets, and ensure scalable, compliant delivery across Direct Investing and wealth-management capabilities. Champions performance and inclusive leadership in a highly regulated financial services environment, with a focus on delivering measurable improvements in client journeys and platform capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in financial services, wealth management, investing platforms, or digital financial products
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership role within Direct Investing, Retail Investments, or closely related wealth management businesses
- Proven experience owning and scaling client facing investment capabilities, such as: Direct investing platforms, guided or self directed investing journeys, portfolio construction and/or related investing tools
- Demonstrated success leading large, cross functional initiatives involving Product, Technology, Data, and Compliance partners
- Familiarity with Canadian retail investor segments and investor behaviours
- Experience developing and owning multi year roadmaps, business cases, and investment plans
- Strong exposure to operating in a highly regulated environment, with the ability to balance innovation, risk, and client outcomes
- Experience managing material budgets and investment decisions with senior executive oversight
- Established track record of performance and professional credibility
