Job Summary
Lead NPCA's digital mobilization team by developing vision and executing a new video-based podcast while managing social media engagement across major platforms. Directly supervise up to four direct reports responsible for online advocacy via email, SMS, and shortform video production. Strategically integrate digital efforts with traditional media outreach to expand the organization's online reach and mobilize a nationwide community of national park advocates. This role requires a minimum of 6-7 years in online communications and advocacy, with a 32-hour work week from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Based in Washington, DC, the Director will advance policy objectives through creative digital solutions that engage audiences not traditionally involved in conservation.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 6-7 years of experience in online communications, including advocacy and policy communications, or related field
- Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in video production, podcast production and social media outreach
- Baccalaureate degree or equivalent work experience
- Experience in productive, positive staff management, including managing dispersed teams
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to work under time constraints, meet deadlines, organize tasks, and maintain a good rapport with staff and suppliers
- Demonstrated ability to produce several creative solutions to a problem
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently

Desired Qualifications
- Experience and knowledge of online advocacy best practices preferred
- Coursework or emphasis on communication, media, political science, or environmental studies preferred but not required
