Job Summary
Lead fundraising for the Boston market by managing a high-value portfolio to generate revenue, pursuing government funding opportunities, and collaborating with national channel teams on multi-market investments. Cultivate relationships with corporate, philanthropic, and public sector partners while coordinating local growth strategies with market and organizational leadership. Secure at least $5M annually through diverse funding sources and support complex partnerships requiring cross-market coordination. Work 15–20% of the time traveling, with a salary of $110,000–$115,000, and report to the Vice President, Market-Based Development.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of progressive revenue-generating experience in fundraising, business development, or corporate partnerships
- demonstrated success securing six- and seven-figure gifts
- Proven track record of building diverse, sustainable revenue portfolios that include philanthropy, corporate partnerships, sponsorships, earned revenue, and government grants
- Strong knowledge of the Greater Boston and Massachusetts philanthropic, corporate, and workforce development landscape
- Exceptional relationship management and influencing skills, with the ability to engage senior executives, funders, public officials, and community leaders
- Expertise in proposal writing, case-making, and pitching to both philanthropic and business audiences
- Highly data-driven and results-oriented, with a history of meeting and exceeding revenue targets
- Proficiency with Salesforce or other CRM tools and strong financial acumen to manage forecasts and revenue tracking
- Willingness to travel 15–20%
