Job Summary
Director Development to lead LFCS fundraising strategy in the St. Louis region, overseeing major gifts, planned giving, tax credit programs, grants, and special events. Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy, identify and cultivate major donors and corporate/foundation support, build relationships with individual, corporate, and foundation donors, lead annual giving campaigns, monitor performance with reports for leadership and Board, manage the St. Louis Development staff, and represent the organization at events and donor meetings. Requires knowledge of fundraising principles, donor stewardship, CRM/donor management systems, and strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills; familiarity with social services/nonprofit operations is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Minimum of five years of nonprofit fundraising experience with demonstrated success in major gifts, donor relations, and development initiatives
- Minimum of three years of supervisory or management experience
