Director, Development (Data Center Construction OFCI)

Job Summary
Directs the development, design, and deployment of data center projects (OFCI) for new client builds, coordinating with Property Development, Sales, Operations and cross-functional teams to align client objectives with delivery scope. Manages customer deployments to deliver on time and on budget, drives client relationships and cost control, and serves as the single point of contact for Federal sales support on potential deals. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years in mission-critical facility development with 5+ years in data center construction, plus travel. The role emphasizes leadership, program management, vendor coordination, and adherence to safety and project-management best practices in a high-growth environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or professional licenses in Construction Management or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Architecture
- Ten or more years of progressive responsibility in development of Mission Critical Facilities
- Five or more years of responsibility of data center project construction with large-scale data centers or DC lease providers
- Be able to travel as needed for the business
- Experience managing multiple large, multi-faceted projects
- Experience with Construction Health & Safety
- Knowledge of Customer Deployment Technologies and Equipment, RCDD a plus
- Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills
- Ability to independently manage deadlines and support staff
- Ability to influence cross-discipline teams
- Flexibility and adaptability in a high growth company
