Job Summary
Director, Design and Construction with hybrid work arrangement in Seattle leading rollout delivery for Nordstrom Rack store design and construction across multiple projects. Build and lead project teams, manage budgets and contractor/vendor relationships, develop standardized PM tools, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with cost efficiencies. Partner with executive stakeholders, internal teams, and external consultants to drive cross-functional execution, scale rollout programs, and maintain speed to market in a high-volume retail environment. Travel as needed for project oversight and stakeholder engagement.
Required Qualifications
- Deep, demonstrated construction experience with a track record of delivering large-scale retail or big box projects
- Experience at a direct competitor or comparable retailer strongly preferred
- Proven rollout expertise — experience managing high-volume, multi-location construction programs on time and on budget
- Substantial hands-on construction delivery experience
- Change agent with the ability to build new processes and drive organizational improvement
- Strong financial acumen — cost-conscious decision-making
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; able to influence at all levels and navigate complex stakeholder environments
- Ability to travel as required to support project oversight across the Rack fleet
