Director, Data Science

Director, Core Pricing Systems responsible for pricing vehicles across Retail, Appraisal, and Offsite Buying with end-to-end ownership of pricing strategies, model development, and value delivery. Lead and develop a 4–8 person Data Science team to implement pricing approaches across hundreds of thousands of vehicles annually. Lead AI-enabled pricing models using mathematics, statistics, and technology (e.g., machine learning, Python) and collaborate with Product, Technology, and Field teams to deploy models. Establish a management system to ensure pricing reflects current market conditions and delivers measurable value, including alert systems and regular reviews. Requires strong business acumen, analytical communication to engage executives (CEO to store leadership), and a track record of delivering business value through deep analytics and successful cross-functional leadership.
