Director - Data Governance Foundation

Senior-level leadership role responsible for defining and executing the enterprise Data Governance Strategy and Data Risk/Controls framework. Oversees teams or multiple teams, including performance management, hiring, budgeting, and cross-functional coordination with business/region partners to align Data Governance and Data Risk activities. Develops and communicates enterprise-wide policies, standards, and best practices; produces materials for leadership and regulatory updates to articulate progress on governance initiatives. Drives progress, provides guidance on adherence, and collaborates with metrics teams to define objective measures supporting governance storylines. Qualifications emphasize extensive banking/financial services experience, strategic thinking, high-level communication, change management, and ability to operate across a large organization. Experience with data governance, glossary, lineage, data quality tools, and a no-tolerance approach to risk, with awareness of regulatory commitments and data plan execution. Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
