Job Summary

Lead strategic vision and hands-on leadership for the Data Platform and transformation processes, guiding data ingestion, ETL, modeling, and governance across data lake/warehouse; manage Database Administration to ensure high availability and performance; collaborate with systems engineering, product, and business leaders to align platform development with objectives; drive best practices in data engineering and software development; architect scalable data pipelines with focus on latency, cost, and throughput; define and enforce data management principles including data modeling and warehousing; liaise with data-domain leaders to drive data asset initiatives from inception to release; oversee data transformation efforts for accuracy and performance; leverage experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift, Airflow, Cognos, GDPR/CCPA familiarity; requires strong SQL expertise and 8+ years data modeling and 7+ years ETL across technology stacks; hybrid work arrangement in Nashville, TN.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in information science, data management, computer science or related field
  • 10+ years' experience in IT role, specializing in data engineering
  • Strong data modeling and data architecture experience
  • Experience in setting up Data Quality and Data Governance frameworks
  • Ability to lead small to medium sized hybrid teams including vendors
  • 8+ years of SQL and data querying
  • 5+ years of Data Modeling for defined business requirements
  • 7+ years of ETL experience
  • 2+ years of cloud Data Engineering solutions
  • Familiarity with Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift, Airflow, Cognos, SQL
  • Experience with GDPR and CCPA preferred
