Job Summary
Director, Data and Cloud responsible for defining and executing Voyager's enterprise data and cloud strategy, architecting scalable cloud infrastructure, data lakes/warehouses, real-time pipelines, and AI/ML foundations; leads data governance, FinOps, security/compliance (ITAR, CMMC, FedRAMP), and a cross-functional team of cloud architects, data engineers, and platform engineers; collaborates with CIO and executive leadership; role is remote with Colorado base; travel up to 25% and export-control requirements apply.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent)
- 12 years of relevant experience OR 10 years with Master's degree OR 16 years in lieu of degree
- 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in data engineering, cloud architecture, or enterprise technology platforms, with at least 4 years in a director or senior leadership role
- Deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP)
- Experience building and scaling enterprise data platforms (data lakes, data warehouses, analytics ecosystems)
- Proven data governance, data quality, and data strategy experience
- Executive-level communication skills with C-suite/board audiences
- Experience managing cross-functional, matrixed teams
- Vendor management experience with cloud providers and SI partnerships
- Strong security/compliance experience (ITAR, CMMC, FedRAMP)
- Experience with modern data stack technologies (dbt, Snowflake, Databricks, Apache Spark, Kafka)
- Experience deploying AI/ML capabilities in production
- Familiarity with Workday HCM, Deltek Costpoint, NetSuite MRP
- Experience FinOps and cloud cost optimization across multi-cloud
- Cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect)
- Ability to obtain required government security clearances
