Job Summary
Lead the analytics function across the organization, ensuring consistency in methodologies, toolsets, and quality standards while aligning roadmaps with broader business goals and P&L objectives. Establish standardized processes for experimentation, data modeling, and reporting, then dive into root-cause analyses to solve complex problems. Manage team bandwidth, prioritize high-impact initiatives, and step in to lead work streams directly when needed. Mentor Analytics Managers and Leads to elevate technical and storytelling capabilities, while delivering compelling narratives to executive leadership. Collaborate with engineering, analytics engineering, and data science peers to advance initiatives related to data modeling and validation.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in data analytics
- 5+ years in the D2C domain
- 5+ years in high-growth, customer-centric industries
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing managers
- Experience overseeing cross-functional or embedded analytics structures
- Demonstrated expert proficiency in SQL
- Demonstrated expert proficiency in Python
- Ability to independently conduct sophisticated analyses
- Ability to optimize code for performance enhancements
- Expertise in the design, interpretation, and monitoring of randomized controlled trials (A/B/n testing)
- Encompassing significance testing
- Statistical inference
- Skilled in developing and interpreting complex, advanced experimental frameworks
- Proven track record of using data to change minds and drive strategy
- Ability to tailor communication to be equally effective with an individual contributor or a C-suite executive
- Ability to translate complex data into compelling, structured narratives and actionable insights
- Experience in designing and implementing dashboards
- Experience providing structured and actionable information
- Experience with dimensional modeling
- Utilizing Kimball methodologies
- Optimized for a modern data ecosystem
- Ability to find the needle in the haystack
- Using root-cause analysis to turn ambiguous data into clear business opportunities
- Built and maintained scalable analytics infrastructure
- Collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Finance teams
- Defining success metrics
- Validating hypotheses
- Advanced degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, etc.)
- Equivalent practical experience
