Job Summary

Director of Credit Risk Management leads the second-line oversight for lending portfolios at Wings Ent merger with Ent Credit Union, elevating consistency and strategic value of credit risk review. Responsibilities include performing independent credit risk evaluations, ensuring adherence to risk policies, governance and regulatory awareness, stakeholder engagement with senior management, training and mentoring of staff, and staff performance management. Requires experience in consumer, mortgage, or commercial lending, data analytics proficiency (SQL, Python, R a plus), strong analytical and communication skills, and ability to collaborate across senior leadership. The role is based in Colorado Springs, CO with a hybrid work arrangement.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance or related field
  • Master's (MBA, Master of Finance) or relevant certification preferred
  • 9+ years' experience in credit administration and/or credit risk management analytics
  • 3+ years' of team leadership or management experience
  • Proven credit risk expertise in consumer, mortgage or commercial lending
  • Experience in data analytics; SQL, Python, and R are a benefit
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills

Desired Qualifications

  • 9+ years' experience in credit administration and/or credit risk management analytics at a financial institution or regulatory agency
  • 3+ years' of team leadership or management experience
  • Proven credit risk expertise in consumer, mortgage or commercial lending at financial institutions
  • Experience in data analytics. Programming and data manipulation with SQL, Python, and R are a benefit
  • Confident negotiator with excellent oral and written communication abilities
  • Proven ability to collaborate at a senior level with internal and external stakeholders
  • Knowledge of risk governance frameworks, second-line enterprise risk management, and internal controls
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills; able to identify issues, ask insightful questions, and escalate appropriately
  • Able to clearly explain complex quantitative and model concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Excellent organizational skills, capable of managing multiple deadlines
