Job Summary
Director to lead strategic communications and brand storytelling for a portfolio spanning hospitality, F&B, design, and lifestyle clients. Own end-to-end leadership of high-impact campaigns, nurture client relationships, mentor a team of communications specialists, and drive strategic growth for FINN Partners in Hong Kong and the region. Responsibilities include developing data-driven communication strategies, collaborating with senior leadership to elevate client delivery, creating original research and thought leadership, leading business development and end-to-end proposals, negotiating budgets and contracts, representing the agency at events, managing client portfolios and forecasts, guiding crisis and reputation management, and mentoring team members to foster a high-performance, collaborative culture. Required capabilities include strong leadership and stakeholder management, earned-first and influencer-led campaign development, media relations, crisis planning, global coordination across offices/time zones, and fluency in English with Cantonese/Mandarin strongly preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in PR, brand communications, or integrated marketing, ideally within an agency environment
- Proven ability to lead senior level client relationships across multiple markets and sectors
- Ability to plan and execute multi-stakeholder, strategic communications on behalf of clients, working closely with international offices and colleagues across different time zones
- Strong understanding of Hong Kong and regional consumer culture, and demonstrable experience building brands through earned, social, and influencer channels
- A strategic thinker and storyteller able to translate insight into creative, commercially grounded campaigns
- Background in corporate communications is advantageous: leading corporate communications strategies for clients, developing and managing the company identity and brand; developing and managing external communications; and crisis communications
- Excellent presentation skills and adept at building brand strategy presentations and proposals
- Strong business development instincts — able to identify growth opportunities, build new client relationships, and lead pitches that expand the agency’s portfolio
- Confident managing teams and developing talent
- Fluent English required; Cantonese and/or Mandarin proficiency strongly preferred.
