Job Summary
Sourcing and developing high-quality transactions in the Prairie region for large clients with revenues exceeding $50M or complex financing needs. Conducting proper due diligence on proposals, pre-qualifying and structuring opportunities while maintaining an excellent risk/return ratio. Building account and influencer relationships to grow assets and implementing marketing plans aligned with portfolio objectives. Navigating a matrix organization to manage senior stakeholder relationships and coordinate regional business development activities.
Required Qualifications
- 7-10 years of relevant senior commercial banking experience
- strong credit acumen
- Bachelor in Commerce or Finance or Business Administration with a major in accounting or finance
- Post-Graduate degree in Business and/or CFA designation and/or relevant professional designation
- Demonstrated strength in business development and client relationship skills
- Analytical business sense and strategic thinking
- Ability to sell financial services to demanding and sophisticated clients
- Ability to identify business opportunities for entrepreneurs who will benefit from the unique range of BDC services and cross refer these to our Advisory and Capital partners
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, be highly organized and proactive
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication skills, spoken and written, in English
- A driver's license
