Job Summary

Director of Corporate Communications based in Pasadena, responsible for shaping Arrowhead’s corporate narrative, elevating reputation, and supporting product launches within a regulated biopharmaceutical context. Lead strategic planning and execution of comprehensive communication strategies, manage global website and social channels, craft executive communications and press materials, oversee agency partners, and collaborate across Investor Relations, HR, Marketing, Medical, and Legal to align messaging with regulatory requirements. Strong storytelling, writing, and digital-systems expertise, with experience in life sciences communications and readiness to navigate a fast-paced environment and travel as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
  • 10 years of progressively responsible experience in corporate communications, public relations, or related fields—preferably within biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry
  • Proven ability to develop and implement integrated communications strategies that advance corporate reputation and support business goals
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with experience crafting content for senior executives, media, and digital channels
  • Demonstrated success managing media outreach, developing press materials, and preparing leaders for interviews and speaking engagements
  • Strong understanding of corporate digital strategy, including website management, social media, and content optimization
  • Ability to effectively partner across departments such as Investor Relations, Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Legal to ensure alignment and compliance
  • Experience leading teams or agency partners, managing budgets, and delivering results under tight deadlines
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance considerations in healthcare communications, with sound judgment in sensitive or high-profile situations
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Travel may be required (~10-15%)
  • Current, valid authorization to work in the country where this role is located
