Job Summary
Lead the preparation of monthly and annual consolidated results for the group and its 20+ subsidiaries, coordinating with external auditors for year-end audits. Provide interpretation and guidance on complex accounting matters in accordance with Canadian GAAP, while maintaining the integrity of the consolidation system and updating centralized accounting policies. Present consolidated financial statements to senior decision-makers and actively participate in transfer pricing documentation projects. This primarily on-site position in Sherbrooke, Quebec requires a bilingual CPA with 10+ years of corporate accounting experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- CPA designation
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in Corporate Accounting
- Minimum 4 years' experience in auditing
- Bilingual French and English (verbal and written)
- Excellent understanding of Canadian GAAP, American GAAP and other emerging standards
- Experience working for an international company with major transactions
- Ability to present financial data in a meaningful and practical way to main decision-makers
- Good knowledge of accounting and financial controls
- General understanding of corporate taxation and Canadian transfer pricing rules
- This is a primarily on-site position based in Sherbrooke, Quebec. Employees are expected to work primarily from our Sherbrooke office.
