Job Summary
Lead process and system optimization for copper electrodeposition to improve efficiency, lifetime, and energy use. Ensure copper cell functionalities for deposition, removal, purity, granulometry, and form comply with customer specifications. Drive the transition of cell designs from prototype to commercial-scale operations while developing experimental test plans to validate performance and optimize deposit quality. Collaborate with materials engineers to design high-performance cathodes and anodes, manage engineering drawings and bills of materials, and lead cross-functional teams to provide technical guidance on maximizing production rate and selective recovery.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrochemical Engineering, or Materials Science
- 15+ years of experience in electrochemistry, specifically within electrowinning and metallurgy
- Minimum 5 years people management experience
- Strong understanding of copper electrochemistry, industrial electrodeposition processes, and transport phenomena
