Job Summary
Own content strategy for one or more areas of College Board's digital assessment platform, defining what "good" looks like before work starts and owning outcomes when it lands. Prioritize and scope content work based on user risk and platform impact, then create clear, user-centered copy for in-product UI, instructions, and onboarding flows. Develop shared standards for voice, tone, and accessibility, translating research and analytics into iterative improvements. Own information architecture and editorial workflows, partnering with UX designers to improve navigation and reduce bottlenecks while managing content workstreams independently. Lead discovery, design critiques, and workshops to drive creative alignment, ensuring content decisions reinforce broader platform strategy. During test administration windows, lead messaging updates for widespread user issues. This role includes some after-hours/weekend work and requires travel 3–5 times a year.
Required Qualifications
- 5–8 years of experience in content strategy, UX writing, or product content design
- Exceptional writing and editing skills
- Experience working closely with UX designers on information architecture and content structure
- The ability to independently own and drive content work within complex, multi-stakeholder environments
- Familiarity with editorial workflows and content operations
- Hands-on experience with CMS platforms and content management processes
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Comfort operating in iterative, evolving environments where the playbook is still being written
- The ability to travel 3–5 times a year to College Board offices or on behalf of College Board business
- A passion for expanding educational and career opportunities and mission-driven work
- Curiosity and enthusiasm for emerging technologies, with a willingness to experiment with and adopt new AI-driven solutions and comfort with learning and applying new digital tools independently and proactively

Desired Qualifications
- Experience on large-scale or platform-based digital products where content decisions have systemic implications
- Familiarity with structured content, taxonomy, or content modeling
- Experience with or genuine curiosity about AI tools applied to content workflows, discovery, or creation
- Background in content governance or lifecycle management as a product matures
