Job Summary
Director, Consulting - Energy Supply Chain leads project teams delivering analytics and insights from WoodMac's industry data to energy clients, interfacing with stakeholders from the C-Suite to project teams, and shaping business development opportunities. The role requires managing multiple client relationships, collaborating with colleagues and clients to develop new solutions, overseeing junior staff, and maintaining work plans with clear objectives and deliverables. Ideal candidates have 12+ years in Consulting/SC/Operations/Engineering within Power & Renewables or Oil & Gas, are skilled in analytics, technical writing, and client-facing communication, and are able to travel 60-80% while working in a hybrid in-office setup (Calgary/Houston/Boston/New York presence). The role emphasizes leadership, mentorship, delivery quality, revenue recognition awareness, and the ability to drive cross-sell of WoodMac services; a Bachelor's degree is required, with a post-graduate degree generally preferred. The ideal candidate will be in or near one of the listed US offices and comfortable working in a hybrid environment two to three days per week.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- 12+ years in a Consulting, Supply Chain, Operations, or Engineering function; experience within the Power & Renewables and/or Oil & Gas sectors is preferred
- Strong analytical, problem solving, project/time management and managerial skills
- Strong technical writing and persuasive document construction
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills appropriate for a large spectrum of clientele
- Ability to lead a dynamic, cohesive team and mentor junior staff
- Willingness to travel 60-80% of the time
