Job Summary
Director, Community Systems leads a senior strategic role to build and steward Praxis's community data infrastructure, systems, and communications workflows at scale. Responsible for owning the systems and tools underpinning community connections, designing engagement workflows, and implementing AI-driven automation to support efficient, personalized outreach. Owns communications infrastructure (e.g., MixMax, email sequencing), data architecture (Airtable), dashboards, and integration with CRM to enable leadership visibility into relationship depth, engagement, and ecosystem activity. Collaborates with program teams to reduce friction, design repeatable workflows, and enable high-impact introductions across founders, funders, and builders. Requires 7+ years in technology/operations/ecosystem development, expertise in databases and data architecture, experience building communications infrastructure at scale, proficiency with Google Suite, Airtable, Slack, Asana, MixMax, Notion, and Dropbox, and strong communication skills. Travel 15–25 days/year; location in NYC with remote considered; compensation $115k–$140k+. AI-enabled tools experience and ability to craft scalable, elegant workflows are desired.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years in technology, operations, or ecosystem development
- Deep expertise designing and maintaining complex databases, including automations, interface design, and data architecture
- Demonstrated experience building communications infrastructure at scale
- Experience with Google Suite, Airtable, Slack, Asana, MixMax, Notion, and Dropbox
- Systems thinking mindset with the ability to design workflows that are elegant and resilient
- Experience with building AI-embedded tools from the ground up
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a service orientation toward internal stakeholders
- Ability to balance multiple priorities across community, communications, and project production
