Director - Community Services - Temporary Full-time - 2025-DCS

Job Summary
Oversee the effective operation of all community service programs, including Adult Day, Meals on Wheels, and In Home Services. Develop and strengthen community partnerships while managing agency contracts and vendor relationships. Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives, monitor service delivery against budgeted units, and analyze data to develop quality improvement plans. Manage assigned staff, coach team members, and ensure alignment with organizational mission and strategic objectives. Initiate projects such as transitional care teams and the Food and Wellness Care Kits Program, preparing quarterly and annual funding reports for donors. Participate in on-call rotation and provide backup support to leadership. Lead the agency's Equity, Inclusion, Diversity and Anti-Racism framework and FNIMUI planning.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in related field or equivalent experience
- Five years management experience with direct supervision of a team
- Must have strong client service, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Must have effective organizational skills including prioritization, delegation, managing multiple priorities and problem-solving
- Intermediate proficiency with the Microsoft Suite
- Experience using Excel for data analysis
- Experience using a client database
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supervising staff in a unionized environment is an asset
- Experience with Alayacare is an asset
