Job Summary
Manage daily operations of the 30-bed Downtowner transitional housing site, ensuring 24/7 coverage and overseeing the hiring, training, and supervision of Residential Managers, Case Managers, and Youth Engagement Specialists. Coordinate program intakes and discharges, serve as the primary liaison for the Coordinated Entry System and CES meetings, and lead targeted case management to ensure accurate documentation and adherence to federal funding guidelines. Supervise the Alumni Coordinator for LA and oversee two additional affordable housing sites, Linden Tree and Olive Tree Commons, including tenant selection and community building activities. Prepare monthly and quarterly reports, monitor the program budget, and collaborate with the Development Department on grant proposals. Participate in regional on-call rotations, conduct routine facility reviews, and advocate for youth homelessness issues within the broader community.
Required Qualifications
- At least 25 years old
- Bachelor's degree in social services or a related field of study (e.g. public health, sociology, psychology, social work) from an accredited college or university
- Minimum five (5) years of supervisory experience
- Minimum five (5) years experience in residential, homeless services and/or mental health services
- At least two (2) years working with young people experiencing homelessness or trafficking, those that have been in foster care or juvenile justice systems, other vulnerable populations and/or experience in the homeless service provider network
- Experience with case management and/or mental health services in HIS stabilization, including establishment of a crisis response system
- Possession or ability to obtain and maintain valid CPR/First Aid certification and guard card credentials
- Good organizational skills and the ability to satisfactorily communicate with staff members, clients, vendors, stakeholders and the public orally and in writing
- Communication with and about youth must reflect a strength based and trauma informed approach
- Must have excellent public speaking skills to comfortably and effectively advocate for and represent CHC in the community
- Must be an independent, self-starter and team player with the ability to collaborate with clients, partner agencies, government stakeholders, and staff at all levels and all departments
- Ability to exercise appropriate authority when needed and good judgment in crisis situations
- Bilingual in Spanish

- Must be able to bend, sit and stand, and walk for prolonged periods of time on a daily basis
- The ability to navigate a flight of stairs to enter and exit units on the second floor to perform essential duties
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. on occasion
- Must possess and maintain a valid California Driver's License
- Must have an acceptable driving record
- Must provide proof of a valid driver's license and a satisfactory Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) driving record
- Must maintain and provide proof of valid automobile insurance in accordance with applicable law and company policy
