Job Summary
Director, Commercial Development responsible for representing the global commercial perspective across Madrigal’s pipeline, shaping indication prioritization, endpoints and trial design, identifying label-optimizing opportunities, and informing commercial readiness from early development through launch. Leads market intelligence, forecasting, pricing/market uptake, and cross-functional commercialization planning with Sales, Market Access, Medical Affairs, and other functions to maximize portfolio value in the U.S. market. Requires deep expertise in specialty pharma market dynamics, payer landscape, and strategic decision-making; strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills; limited travel up to 25%. Educational and experience requirements include a Bachelor’s degree with 12-15+ years in biopharmaceutical marketing/commercial development, and direct asset lifecycle experience. The role is a full-time position with in-office presence required three days per week in Conshohocken, PA or Waltham, MA.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Advanced degree preferred
- 12-15+ years of biopharmaceutical marketing and/or commercial development experience
- Direct commercial development experience across product lifecycle (pre-commercialization to launch)
- Experience with MASH or related therapeutic areas is a plus
- Strong scientific background is a plus
- Experience in smaller company environments is a plus
- Base salary and equity offered; travel up to 25%
- Full-time in-office requirement in Conshohocken, PA or Waltham, MA
