Job Summary
Develop and oversee comprehensive clinical risk management and patient safety programs, leading investigations of adverse events and conducting Root Cause Analyses and Failure Mode and Effect Analyses to identify systemic issues. Monitor, analyze, and trend risk data to present findings and recommend strategic improvements while ensuring adherence to Joint Commission, CMS, and other regulatory requirements. Design and deliver educational programs for staff and leaders on risk reduction, round on patient care units, and serve on hospital committees including the Quality and Patient Safety Committee. Review and revise organizational policies to enhance safety and mitigate risk. Requires 3-5 years of clinical risk management experience, proficiency in incident management software, and a Master's degree is a plus. Salary ranges from $155,000 to $195,000 annually.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years with Clinical Risk Management and/or Quality Management experience
- Experience in clinical risk management, patient safety, quality improvement
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations (including HIPAA, EMTALA, etc.)
- Proficiency in data analysis, incident management software, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent leadership, communication, investigation, and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor's degree (BSN strongly preferred or related field)
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree a plus
- Certified Professional in Health Care Risk Management (CPHRM) is a plus or within 2 years of employment
- Certified Professional in Patient Safety Credential (CPPS) is a plus
