Job Summary
Director, Clinical Rare Oncology, London. Senior clinical leader responsible for shaping LifeArc’s clinical strategy in paediatric and adult rare oncology, defining the clinical development strategy, and delivering a portfolio of collaborative programmes. Leads a small team, manages budgets, and ensures cost, quality, and timely delivery. Interfaces with regulatory authorities and HTAs, reviews key clinical documentation, and sponsors new business cases within the Clinical Pillar. Builds relationships and cross-functional partnerships in a matrix environment, represents LifeArc externally, and drives strategic initiatives in rare oncology, including paediatric oncology. Requires extensive global clinical development experience in oncology and strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive Global Clinical Development experience in therapeutics, diagnostics, devices or other medical technologies
- Experience of developing and implementing clinical strategy
- Asset selection and/or programme prioritisation experience
- Clinical trial regulatory submission experience e.g. IND/CTA
- Product approval regulatory submission experience e.g. NDA/MAA/BLA
- National and International regulatory authority interactions
- Extensive therapeutic area expertise in oncology
- Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of clinical research regulations
- Experience of building high performing and collaborative teams
- Demonstrable skills in line management
- Minimum qualification of BSc Life Sciences [PhD or MD preferred]
- Professional qualifications in clinical research, and clinical project management preferred
