Job Summary

Director of Business Development for Visa’s NA Marketing Services leads strategic business development, drives high-value client engagements, and oversees development of compelling RFP responses and pitch materials across North America. The role partners with Sales, Product, and Consulting to identify opportunities, shape client solutions, and deliver thought leadership to support client acquisition and growth. Responsibilities include owning the BD strategy, leading complex RFP responses, and guiding deal support to position Visa as a strategic partner while scaling capabilities and content. A small team is managed to ensure delivery excellence; the role requires deep RFP process expertise, strategic storytelling, executive presence, and experience in payments/financial services. The position requires at least 3 days in the office, with travel 5-10% of the time; salary range is $151,600–$285,600 per year; US-based locations include San Francisco, CA and Atlanta, GA.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8+ years with Advanced Degree or 3+ years with PhD (as per posting)
  • Strong expertise in RFP processes, sales enablement, and strategic storytelling
  • Prior people management experience
  • Experience in payments, financial services, or client-facing marketing environments preferred
