Job Summary
Direct and lead Optiv’s Client Advisory team in strategic sales planning and resource allocation; act as player-coach to drive revenue and support security-focused solutions, coordinating vendor resources, shaping sales strategies, and guiding team members through strategic initiatives. Responsibilities include regional sales planning, budgeting for senior management review, personnel development, quota achievement, account-planning in collaboration with the Sales organization, and delivering thought leadership in the Security industry. Requires strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills, deep IT security knowledge (firewall, IPS, DLP, SIEM, application/web security), regulatory compliance awareness (PCI, GLBA, SOX, HIPAA), and ability to travel within the region; driving cross-functional collaboration with vendors, prospects, clients, and internal management. Must be able to work remotely where applicable.
Required Qualifications
- BS/BA or applicable work experience
- 5+ years in a pre or post-sales IT security capacity
- 5+ years security experience in Firewall; IPS; DLP; SIEM; Application security; Web security
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance PCI; GLBA; SOX; HIPAA
- Proven track record of managing technical personnel
- Valid US driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to travel within assigned region
