Director, Civil Field Operations

Job Summary
Lead and direct all civil field operations across active utility-scale solar and renewable projects, overseeing planning, sequencing, and execution; establish, implement, and maintain standardized field practices and performance expectations; partner with Project Management and Preconstruction to review constructability, sequencing, and resource planning; conduct regular site visits to evaluate progress, quality, and safety, mentor field leadership, and manage labor, equipment, and material planning across regions; drive field productivity, schedule adherence, and cost effectiveness; collaborate with Safety and Quality to ensure compliance with Moss standards and environmental/regulatory requirements; lead workforce development by mentoring field leadership and supporting recruitment, onboarding, and professional growth; identify opportunities for operational improvements and provide strategic input for long-term field staffing forecasts and equipment needs; manage subcontractor relationships and resolve performance issues; participate in weekly project-level coordination meetings and regional operational reviews.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive field leadership experience in civil, infrastructure, or renewable construction, including self-perform experience
- Willingness to travel to project sites nationwide
