Job Summary
Directs day-to-day management of the FDNY Bureau of Equal Employment Opportunity as Executive Agency Counsel, overseeing internal investigations conducted by attorneys, advising senior leadership, delivering training, and processing employee requests for workplace accommodation. Responsible for reviewing large-scale bureau data, ensuring compliance with applicable legal standards, and issuing decisions in the interactive accommodation process. Requires clear written/editing ability, and close engagement with employee-facing processes. Requires NY State Bar admission and supervisory/managerial legal experience.
Required Qualifications
- Admission to the New York State Bar; four years of recent full-time responsible, relevant, satisfactory legal experience subsequent to admission to any bar, eighteen months of which must have been in the supervision of other attorneys, in an administrative, managerial or executive capacity, or performing highly complex and significant legal work.
