Job Summary
Lead and supervise a team of Category Managers while developing and executing category strategies based on customer needs, seasonal trends, and business objectives. Manage demand planning, inventory levels, and SKU rationalization to maintain efficiency and product availability. Source and negotiate with domestic and international vendors to optimize cost, quality, and lead times, and set competitive pricing strategies aligned with market conditions. Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Logistics teams to streamline operations, evaluate new products and suppliers, and support ERP and inventory system optimization. Participate in seasonal planning and key promotional events, traveling as required for vendor visits and trade shows.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Procurement, Logistics, or related field
- 5–7+ years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management
- 2–3 years in a leadership role
- Strong negotiation skills
- Proven ability to maintain supplier relationships
- Proven ability to achieve cost savings
- Knowledge of procurement best practices
- Knowledge of sourcing strategies
- Knowledge of contract compliance
- Knowledge of risk management
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree or MBA
- Experience in the wholesale floral industry
- Proficiency with ERP/inventory systems (Apprise preferred)
- Familiarity with Tableau
