Job Summary
Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of K-12 Career, Technical and Agricultural Education (CTAE) programs. Direct the preparation of short- and long-range plans for CTAE programming, develop and revise curriculum materials, and appraise the overall CTAE program. Collaborate with principals, CTAE supervisors, and teachers to ensure program integrity; coordinate professional development for CTAE teachers across subjects; assist in recruitment and screening of qualified CTAE teachers. Maintain active involvement with GACTE and oversee advisory committees, program audits, and district certification processes. Prepare annual CTAE department budgets, manage grant resources, review instructional materials, and facilitate state and federal reporting. Requires strong interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentation skills, independent judgment, and frequent travel to off-site locations.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Career - Technical Education, Workforce Education, Adult and Career Education or a related field from an accredited university required; Specialist degree preferred.
- Five years leadership/supervisory experience in K-12 programs required - district or building leadership acceptable.
- Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) Educational Leadership - Tier I certification (L-5) required.
