Job Summary
Direct care management care to patients and families as needed while managing patient flow to expedite admissions, discharges, and transfers. Coordinate the Mentor Program for staff development and provide consistent oversight for difficult cases regarding LOS reduction, quality of care, and legal/ethical issues. Supervise a team of Care Management and Utilization Review staff, handling hiring, training, scheduling, performance management, and discipline. Serve as liaison between patients, families, and the health care team, implementing fiscal plans and collaborating on cost reduction and non-wage initiatives. Develop daily and monthly schedules, conduct extended-stay meetings with stakeholders, and participate in continuing education and Joint Commission requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business or Nursing
- 6 years of clinical experience
- 2 years of which must be in leadership
- active license to practice Nursing in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong communication skills
- in-depth knowledge of Care Management fiscal issues
- Ability to make formal presentations relative to clinical, educational, and financial issues
- Must complete a background check
- Must be vaccinated against COVID-19
- Must receive a booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine
Desired Qualifications
- 4-5 years of leadership experience preferred
