Job Summary
Integrate Respiratory Care departmental activities into the organization's primary functions while maintaining the departmental budget and JCAHO Standards. Develop and implement policies that guide departmental services, conducting annual appraisals to update procedures as needed. Coordinate interdepartmental and intradepartmental services, determine personnel qualifications, and continuously assess care performance to facilitate process improvement. Orient and provide in-service training and education to all departmental personnel. This role supports a 234-bed pediatric hospital recognized as a Best Children's hospital, featuring a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU capable of serving up to four open heart surgeries daily.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Respiratory Care", "Bachelor's Degree", "Credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care", "RRT", "current NCRCB license", "3 years' management experience in an acute care facility", "BLS (Basic Life Support)", "Membership in the national chapter of the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC)
