Job Summary
Director in BNZ's Capital Markets team leads origination, structuring, and execution of debt-capital-market transactions, developing and maintaining client relationships beyond immediate deals. Focus on comprehensive public and private debt and structured financing solutions for corporate/institutional clients, in partnership with Institutional Banking. Responsibilities include origination, structuring, leading deal execution and roadshows, pitching ideas to issuers/borrowers, positioning deals with credit, investors and distribution, promoting DCM growth internally and externally, driving cross-border opportunities, and collaborating with Relationship Managers and global Corporate Financing teams.
Required Qualifications
- Broad origination and syndicate experience (7+ years) in debt markets
- Experience in related fields such as corporate lending, legal or accounting
- NZFMA accreditation or global equivalent
- Excellent communication and relationship-management skills
- Ability to lead transactions and pitches to issuers/borrowers
- Strong analytical and credit understanding of debt structuring
