Job Summary
The Director, Business Transformation - Operations leads senior-level transformation across Operations focused on the end-to-end replacement and modernization of EAM/ERP and related core systems. Responsible for defining business requirements, operating models, data stewardship, organizational readiness, adoption, and benefits realization. Works with Information Services and external partners to drive design decisions, testing, training, cutover readiness, go-live support, stabilization, and adoption. Leads cross-functional governance, prioritization, milestone reviews, and executive reporting; defines the future-state operating model including process ownership, roles, decision rights, and cross-functional interfaces. Develops and maintains the transformation roadmap, sequences workstreams, and ensures business readiness across testing, user acceptance, training, and stabilization. Coaches and develops the transformation team (roughly 10–20 staff), drives high performance, and collaborates with Berkshire Hathaway Energy affiliates as needed. Ensures plans and investments align with AltaLink’s regulated environment and cost-recovery mechanisms, and supports regulatory filings as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, information technology, computer science, or related field
- MBA or related Master’s degree asset (optional)
- 10–15 years in operations, asset management, or business leadership within energy/regulatory utility
- 10+ years progressive leadership
- Experience with ERP/EAM programs; familiarity with Maximo, Oracle, SAP or comparable platforms (preferred)
- Strong governance, reporting, and executive-communication skills
- Experience defining target operating models, process ownership, and future-state ways of working
- Knowledge of master data management, data governance, data quality, and migration readiness
- Experience with business readiness across testing, training, go-live, stabilization
- Ability to collaborate with vendors, SI partners, and external advisors
